The Skandamitra Open Learning Resource Center (SOLRC) is a manifestation of the change we want to see in our world. Today, a child's natural desire to learn and discover is often stifled by a race towards superficial goals(grades, ranks or percentiles). A relentless march that seemingly works for a few, but never for all.
This is because children are unique. Each child has a distinct temperament, curiosity level and response to stimuli. Skandamitra was formed to foster what's unique about every child and harness it and set him/her up for success in the future.

At SOLRC, we custom design the learning curriculum for every child. Where children can learn at their own pace, in their preferred style with the right support and guidance in an open, inclusive and non-threatening environment.

2023 Onwards
Skandamitra takes shape
After a year's consistent effort the team is able to drive unprecedented learning outcomes for the children and delight for the parents. The team is now looking to scale it's success under the brand name "Skandamitra".
2022-23
The Pilot
They rope in Rohit and begin an alternative learning program for 40 young minds across three different age groups in the heart of North Bengaluru.

A chance conversation
Lifelong educator Sandhya Gatti meets her old students(now parents) Sandeep Gururaj and Anil Venkateshappa at the end of May 2021. The trio discuss the many shortcomings of mainstream early education and decide to do something about it.
